Davido vs Sophia Momodu: AbdulShally Weighs In on Celebrity Custody Dispute; The ongoing custody dispute between Afrobeats superstar Davido and Sophia Momodu, the mother of his daughter Imade, has caught the attention of prominent businesswoman AbdulShally. The entrepreneur has offered her perspective on the high-profile case, emphasizing the distinction between the roles of a wife and a baby mama.

The controversy erupted when Sophia accused Davido of neglecting their daughter both emotionally and financially over the past two years. In response, Davido countered these claims, revealing that he had purchased an apartment in the upscale Oniru area of Victoria Island, Lagos, for Sophia and Imade. However, according to Davido, Sophia declined this offer, instead insisting on the continuation of a rental arrangement that cost over 20 million naira annually. He also stated that she rejected his alternative proposal of 5 million naira for accommodation support.

Addressing the situation during a live Instagram session with well-known media personality Daddy Freeze, AbdulShally shared her thoughts on the matter. While careful not to take sides, given the complexity of the situation, she expressed her opinion that the 5 million naira housing allowance offered by Davido was indeed adequate.

AbdulShally stated, “From my personal experience, 5 million naira is a sufficient amount for yearly housing allowance anywhere in Nigeria.” She then added a controversial point, saying, “A baby mama shouldn’t expect to receive the same benefits as a wife.”
