The Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, which underwent partial closure to traffic over the past seven weeks, has now reopened after comprehensive repair works. The reopening comes with newly installed lane markings, streetlights, and CCTV cameras.

Lagos Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, confirmed the reopening in a statement on Saturday, March 30.

Osiyemi stated, “Dear Lagos Residents, We’re delighted to announce that the Third Mainland Bridge will resume full operations on April 4th, 2024, following extensive repairs.
